Dr. Matthew P. Steinberg is an applied economist and policy researcher whose work focuses on the economics of education, program evaluation, applied econometrics, and cost-effectiveness analysis. Matthew is currently a research, strategy and evaluation advisor partnering with research firms, philanthropic organizations, and educational technology companies. Matthew was previously a Senior Fellow and the inaugural Managing Director of Research and Evaluation at Accelerate, where he led the organization’s evidence-building portfolio. Prior to joining Accelerate, Matthew was an Associate Professor of Education and Public Policy (with tenure) and the Director of EdPolicyForward: The Center for Education Policy at George Mason University.
